Multi-media performance “27.02. Marktplatz” by Elianna Renner

IMG_2659Elianna Renner’s multi media approach circles around performance and audio-visual installation, which are sometimes combined with film and photography. Her work is based on women’s oral history and has in the past circled around the recovery of her own family’s history. In her work, Elianna Renner likes telling stories that are linked to everyday life and contain biographical elements. Taking a subjective stance on history, she reinvents moments that seem to be taken out of reality, only to slightly bend them into fiction. This technique creates situations that are shifting between objectivity and subjectivity, and which are humorous and thought provoking at the same time.
